Sanctuary

This is not a typical landscape, but it was meant to speak of the Earth, our only true home. All life is connected and prospers (or fails) on this orb floating in the vast emptiness of space. The painting was also inspired by a photograph I once saw of the eye of an animal, the iris and reflections it held. In the painting, the Earth is the eye, turning its gaze back upon us. Will we honour and protect it, or not?
