Prayers for the Earth
Our planet is in trouble. Warming temperatures from human-caused excess C02 emissions creates all sorts of problems, including extinction of species, rising seas due to melting of polar and mountaintop ice, fluctuations in climate and weather patterns, forest fires, drought, and more. The prayer flags in this painting are patterned with the colours and textures of the earth and each of them carry my heart's prayer for humans to work together to heal these problems.
